Abū Bakr al-Khallāl (d. 311 AH)
A leading Hanbali scholar and one of the most important transmitters of Imam Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal’s teachings. He travelled extensively throughout the Muslim world collecting the narrations, legal opinions, and statements of Imam Aḥmad from his students. His monumental work al-Jāmiʿ preserved a vast portion of the Hanbali tradition and played a crucial role in establishing and transmitting the Hanbali school of jurisprudence.
