ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿUbayd ibn Sufyān Ibn Abī al-Dunyā (208–281 AH)
A renowned Baghdad-based scholar, moralist, and author, known for his writings on ethics, asceticism, and piety. He authored numerous influential works, including Kitāb al-Waraʿ and Kitāb al-Tawbah, which emphasized spiritual refinement and moral conduct. He served as a teacher to the Abbasid caliphs and left a lasting impact on Islamic ethical literature.
