Abū al-Khayr Shams al-Dīn Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī ibn Yūsuf al-Jazarī (751–833 AH)

A preeminent Shafi’i scholar and authority in Qur’anic recitation (qirāʾāt), renowned for his works on tajwīd and the ten canonical readings. His contributions solidified the science of qirāʾāt, earning him recognition as the foremost expert in his field.
