Nuʿmān ibn Thābit ibn Zūṭā Abū Ḥanīfa (80–150 AH)

Founder of the Ḥanafī school of Islamic jurisprudence, the most widely followed madhhab in the Muslim world. Known for his deep reasoning, use of qiyās (analogical deduction), and emphasis on juristic principles. A respected theologian and scholar of Iraq, he laid a systematic foundation for Islamic legal thought that continues to shape Muslim societies today.
