Ismail bin Ishaq al-Qadi (282H)
Abū Isḥāq Ismāʿīl ibn Isḥāq ibn Ismāʿīl ibn Ḥammād ibn Zayd al-Azdī al-Qāḍī (199–282 AH)
A distinguished Maliki jurist and hadith scholar from al-Andalus, known for his profound knowledge in Islamic jurisprudence, hadith, Qur’anic studies, and the Arabic language. He authored Fadlu ’l-Ṣalāti ʿalā al-Nabī, a treatise emphasizing the virtues of sending blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. His contemporaries revered him to the extent that upon his arrival, it was said, ”Madinah has come.”
