Explanation of The Creed – al-Barbahari

This is an English translation of Imām al-Barbahārī’s classical work, Sharḥ as-Sunnah. The book consists of 170 points covering various aspects of the Muslim creed. Extensive notes have been added, including relevant passages from the Qurʾān and authentic sayings of the Prophet ﷺ. Numerous statements from the early scholars have also been included.

This work presents the beliefs held by the early Muslims, as its author lived nearly 1,100 years ago and was one of the students of Imām Ahmad Ibn Hanbal
