The Prophet ﷺ said: “If Allah intends good for a person, He grants him understanding (fiqh) of the religion.”
It is not possible for a person who possesses fiqh to be without knowledge of usul al-fiqh, nor can the usuli (one who studies usul al-fiqh) do without fiqh if he truly seeks a sound understanding of the religion.
