The Stability of the ’Aqeedah of the Salaf

Pure, unadulterated Islamic Aqeedah, extracted from the Book and the Sunnah, holds a lofty status in the religion. Indeed, its status is like that of a foundation to a structure, a heart to a body, and a root to a tree.

Allah, the Exalted, said:

“Have you not considered how Allah presents an example, [making] a good word like a good tree, whose root is firmly fixed and its branches [high] in the sky?”
(Soorah Ibrahim 14:24)

Thus, the status of Aqeedah is tremendous, its position is lofty, and its foundation is firmly established in the souls of its people. It is deeply rooted in the hearts of its adherents, from where its effects radiate. They rely upon it and find contentment through it. Its value is elevated in their souls, and its importance is exalted in their hearts.

Therefore, it becomes firmly established in their hearts and deeply rooted in their souls. As a result, righteous actions are built upon it, uprightness upon the Minhaj is achieved, deeds are perfected, obedience and worship are maintained, and adherence to the command of Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, is strengthened.

The stronger the Aqeedah becomes, the more firmly it is established in the souls and the more deeply rooted it becomes in the hearts. This Aqeedah motivates its adherents to perform righteous deeds and assists them in attaining success in all aspects of their lives…
