ʿAbdallāh ibn al-Zubayr ibn ʿĪsā al-Humaydī al-Makkī (d. 219 AH)

A prominent Meccan scholar of hadith and a leading student of Imām al-Shāfiʿī. He authored al-Musnad, a significant hadith collection, and was known for his strong defense of Sunni creed and methodology. Al-Humaydī played an important role in transmitting Shāfiʿī’s teachings and had a lasting influence on hadith scholarship in the Hijaz.
