Shams al-Dīn Abū ʿAbd Allāh Muḥammad ibn Abī Bakr ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya (691–751 AH)
A distinguished Hanbali jurist and theologian, and a close student of Ibn Taymiyyah. He authored numerous influential works on Islamic jurisprudence and spirituality, emphasizing the importance of the Quran and Sunnah.
