Muḥammad ibn Isḥāq ibn Yasār ibn Khiyār (d. c. 150 AH)

A pioneering historian and compiler of one of the earliest biographies of the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ. His Sīrat Rasūl Allāh—later edited by Ibn Hishām—became the foundation for the prophetic biography (sīrah) genre. Though some questioned his reliability in hadith, his historical contributions remain invaluable for early Islamic history.
