Imam al-Haramayn al-Juwayni (478H)
Abū al-Maʿālī ʿAbd al-Malik ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Juwaynī (419–478 AH)
Known as Imām al-Ḥaramayn, he was a leading Shafi’i jurist. His works, including Nihāyat al-Maṭlab and al-Irshād, have been instrumental in shaping Islamic legal theory and theology. He was the teacher of the famed theologian al-Ghazālī.
