A Commentary on Al-Waraqat

This book is a commentary and reflections on Imam al Haramayn al Juwayni’s (d.478 H/1085 CE) introductory primer on Usool al Fiqh (Islamic legal theory), titled ‘al-Waraqat’. It is called Waraqat because it is concise. It is part of a series of Islamic classical texts, known as summarised works (mukhtasarat), that are considered essential study for every serious seeker of Islamic knowledge. It is targeted at beginning students of Usool al Fiqh but will hopefully also provide food for thought for students who have passed this stage.
